Abiding Love: A Question of Posture Pt 13

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. ~I CORINTHIANS 13:13

Faith. Hope. Love.

Faith, faith is to believe in with confidence that which has been promised by God simply because God said so. Faith is the substance of our ‘hope,’ in the moments before that which is hoped for is made physically manifest. Faith is to believe and trust even beyond the contradictory physical evidence before you. (HEBREWS 11:1)

The Body of Christ, the One New Man:

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.~EPHESIANS 4:1-6

Whether we identify as Messianic Jew, Catholic, Protestant, or just plain old Christian, no matter the expression of certain traditions or lack thereof, we are unified into one being (EPHESIANS 2:14-16) before God through our singular faith.

The Faith of the New Man:

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.~I JOHN 4:12-16

We are all joined by our declaration of faith for the Word teaches us that if we confess with our mouth and believe with our heart that Yeshua Jesus is Lord and God raised Him from the dead, then we shall be saved. (ROMANS 10:9)

This declaration, this faith has bonded us into one with the same glory that bonds a husband and wife on their wedding day. EPHESIANS 5 confirms this ‘great mystery’ and truth.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.  “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.~EPHESIANS 5:25-32

We are bonded as One. There is no Messianic Body, no Catholic Body, no Protestant Body. There is only ONE BODY, ONE BRIDE, born of ONE SPIRIT, CONFESSION, and FAITH.

We must determine in our hearts to seek His face and grace with true repentance to bless us to see each other through His abiding love. We must pray that He unifies us beyond our color and traditions or denominational segregations, and bless us with a fresh anointing and revelation of His truth as One New Man and one royal nation in Him (I PETER 2:9-10)

The Apostle Paul said concerning the division in the Body as a result of ‘theological’ differences and divides:

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.  For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.  Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name. Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect… But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”~I CORINTHIANS 1:9-17, 30-31

The things that have kept the Body divided, those ‘doubtful things (ROMANS 14)’ have NOTHING to do with what we SPEAK nor do they have any merit when we consider the position of our MIND in Yeshua Jesus or the sameness of our JUDGEMENT. And they certainly do not negate the ones of our FAITH.

What we speak about Yeshua Jesus as the Only Son of God, the free gift of His salvation, and His finished work on the Cross, and resurrection from the grave is SPOKEN with the same MIND and the same JUDGEMENT.

We all confess and believe that He is the Way and there is no other Way to the Father but Him. Through our confession and belief in this Faith, we are eternally bonded through our words spoken and through the Blood.

This is our Faith and it is One Faith unto the One and only True and Living God.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;  one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.~EPHESIANS 4:4-6

So since we are one, since our Faith has united us as one spotless Bride before our Lord Yeshua Jesus, let us rest in the unity of our faith and begin to stand as one before Him.

For what God has joined together, let us let no man, tradition, denomination or color, tear apart.

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”~ MATTHEW 19:6
